ACT

Median house prices

by suburb

A positive first quarter for the ACT as house prices rose in three quarters of the territory’s suburbs.

South Canberra, Weston Creek and Woden Valley were the only districts to record price growth across all

suburbs. Belconnen, Gungahlin, North Canberra and Tuggeranong had a varied result. The most expensive

locations (those with a median price above $900,000) all recorded price growth driven by strong demand

and a lack of supply, with Red Hill and Yarralumla breaking the $1 million mark. It was a mixed result at the

more affordable end of the scale (suburbs with a median price $500,000 or below).

The outer districts of the ACT (Belconnen and Tuggeranong) was the location of the most affordable property

in the ACT. Ngunnawal was the only suburb not located in either district to record a median house price below

$500,000. It is consistently one of the popular suburbs in which to purchase a detached house.
