Sydney

Median house prices

by suburb

Sydney’s strong performance was spread across all of the city’s regions, with 81 per cent of suburbs growing in the 12 months to March

2015. The most expensive locations (those with a median price above $1.5 million) remained the Eastern suburbs, Lower and Upper North

Shore and Northern Beaches. In the year to March, the Lower North Shore had seven suburbs breaking the $1.5 million median price,

while the Northern Beaches’ six new entries were the result of tight competition over limited stock of detached dwellings. Birrong led the

list of 45 suburbs in Sydney’s West and South West to climb into the $600k to $1 million price range, while toward the affordable end four

suburbs jumped into the $400k to $600k bracket over the 12 months to March 2015.
